Vegetables, vitamins and nutrients

I am trying to add as many vegetables as I can to my diet without going to high in the carbs (responce to this ? good bad ? proper way to do it ) veggies have very few calories and carbs and lots of good stuff (nutrition vitamins etc..) so I can eat a lot of them IE not go into starvation mode etc.. without jacking up the carbs and calories. Does this sound right or is that an incorrect approach ? (I do not mind it since I LOVE veggies with a passion) I can eat an entire dinner of 3 cans of Green Beans (20 carbs and under 350 calories) and yet I am decidedly full when I am done (I add some butter and grated cheese and garlic salt and mix it all up) Protein -

Protein Power by Drs Eades. At least go to the library and check out the chapter on taking measurements, figuring out your body fat percentage and so on to arrive at your daily minimum protein. It is the best part of the entire book. But you can do fine by using a simpler guideline like so many grams per pound of goal weight. Fat – If anyone finds a book that gives a good system on fat please let me know. I’ve read a few low fat books over the years and I recall the 60/80 gram cookie cutter apprach and that’s where I figure starvation mode starts, but other than that I used calories, carbs and protein and did the arithmatic to get to fat lacking any better system. Calories – Many books on exercise will give formulas. I don’t recommend any one book as I’ve always used a formula that goes around. Ten calories per pound of goal weight rounded up to a round number. There are bound to be better systems. veggies have very few calories and carbs and lots of good stuff (nutrition vitamins etc..)
