Is there a fee for membership?

No, membership is free.

Who can join?

The WHRN encourages anyone with an interest in women's health research to get involved, including:

  • Institutionally-based researchers from all pillars and disciplines
  • Research trainees and students
  • Community-based researchers
  • Community collaborators - i.e. grassroots initiatives and women's organizations
  • Service providers and directors working in the areas of health promotion, prevention and treatment with an interest in evidence-based practice
  • Policy makers, including local and regional health authority representatives and others interested in evidence-based policy and planning
  • Individuals at large with an interest in women's health research

Why become a member?

The WHRN offers a wide variety of  events open to all with an interest in women’s health research, but Network members have exclusive access to:

  • Province-wide knowledge translation, promotion, and networking support
  • Special WHRN seed grants to enable the development of research proposals, grant applications, and collaborative research teams
  • WHRN trainee grants to support Master’s and PhD-level students in their thesis or dissertation research
  • Support for bringing research teams together to develop proposals and work on research projects across distance with the use of new technologies
  • Having their research profiled on the WHRN website
