Coordinator

Susan Dixon has been Provincial Networking Coordinator of the Women's Health Research Network since its inception. After working on a major Health Canada initiative aimed at resolving health service concerns for First Nations in Northwestern Ontario, Susan went on to pursue a Master's program in Social Anthropology at Dalhousie University. Before her relocation to Vancouver in 2005, she acted as a research consultant to several Halifax-based institutes, including the Atlantic Consortium on Research Utilization for Nursing, the Atlantic Centre of Excellence for Women's Health, and the Departments of Nursing, Continuing Medical Education, Dentistry, and Community Health and Epidemiology at Dalhousie University, and the Department of Atlantic Canadian Studies at Saint Mary's University. Susan brings her knowledge of comparative, collaborative, multidisciplinary approaches to research and expertise in the area of knowledge translation to her role as Coordinator of the WHRN.
